The Bears defense went from top 3 in the league to bottom 3 in one year.

With everyone back healthy I suspect them to be closer to the top again.
I sure hope your right and if so we are going to be a force. The offfense on paper is easily the best in franchise history.

I'll predict right now that the Bears are again top 3-5 in offense and their defense will wind up top 10.

That's good enough to make some noise in the playoffs.

Even with a relatively tough schedule, anything less than the playoffs this year is a fail for the team they have. Now crap can happen, like last year where they had over 40% of their payroll out hurt at one point....but that's life.

That is all so true. This will be a make or break year for Jay Cutler. We will see what our first team offense and defense look like tomorrow when we face the Seahawks in this preseason game.

October 12 I will be there when we come to the Georgia Dome. Time to Bear Down!

If he can stay healthy, I think Cutler has a monster year this season. I'm thinking about picking him up in later rounds on my fantasy team(s).

He should. New systems and last year was his best offensive line (by far) and that was still mediocre due to having 4 new guys (2 of them rookies) on it.

This year, with the protection and wheapons, it's all on Cutler.

Cutler's problems are mental. Remember 2008? Cutler had a stacked receiving corps, the best o-line in all of football (gave up only 12 sacks on the year IIRC) and a noted offensive guru in Mike Shanahan. Cutler put up a lot of stats early but failed miserably in the clutch.

I wouldn't count on the light coming on for him.

Poor pre-season showing but that's ok considering it's well...pre-season. Also against the reigning best team in football.

Can this season just start already? lol.

I feel like I'm back in grade school and summer vacation starts at 12pm tomorrow.

In all seriousness. There are a ton of things up in the air with this team. Offense may be great, but if they cant block and get the running game going, we are going to have a ton of problems. We need a 3rd WR, I'm crossing my fingers Holmes can step up.

Defense? Special teams? I wouldnt even know where to begin with potential problems.

I read something on a Packer site that one of their reporters saw:

This was penned by a Chicago columnist: "Raise your hand if you think the Bears could challenge for the No. 1 overall draft pick."

It is one game, mercy, here I thought some of the criticism of the Packers was a little harsh in the papers.
