Mike Neal hasn't been re-signed and supposedly visited Lions and Seahawks. I thought Packers would sign him, Starks and Kuhn but not yet.
Goode (31) has been their long snapper (9 yrs) but he had knee issues and the guy they brought in seemed to do o.k. so I wonder if they will let Brett go.
Richardson has neck issues and don't see them taking a risk there. I will be shocked if Barclay is back as he cannot play all positions on the O line at a high level like JC Tretter.
James Starks is back with the Pack, a good thing. Yes, he is 30?, but he works well with Lacy, Eddie looks up to him and stability at the RB position is good rather than having a new guy with Lacy. They still need to draft a RB in later rounds probably.
Very happy that Starks is coming back. He often gives a boost coming off the bench or fills in nicely when Lacy is out. I often wonder why Starks doesn't get more playing time.
He did have those fumbles but he is a solid team player. Coaches, players, media all talk about James steady, even somewhat quiet personality. A good signing in that he knows the system, accepts whatever role is required, a FA RB coming in might cause disruption, wanting more snaps, won't know the offense, not a good idea.
He is close with Eddie, who has mentioned how James has helped him, and to me major plus there!
This was expected. He filled a need with Jordy out but they have 6 WRs, no space. Montgomery was doing well until he had a high ankle sprain, Adams had a slump but is good, then you have Janis & Abby.
They are draft and develop and you can't keep an older, slower player when it keeps playing time from young guys you need to get reps and experience.
