The NFL needs to tweak the traditional Thanksgiving games. Dallas is fine because they usually have decent teams and are entertaining to watch but the Lions are losers, year after year. The only turkey I want to see is on the dining room table, not on the football field. The Lions need to go.
Traditions are made, and do not need to change it. I have watched for many years, and have no problem with them keeping it up. I agree they are not much to watch, but how can we eat turkey, without the Lions?
the lions are thanksgiving football. give me a break. they made the tradition. the cowboys copied it. if the lions go, there should be no football on thanksgiving.

I'm with jmarquise on this one. The Lions on Turkey Day are tradition. I'm not sure about the "Cowboy's copied it" statement though.
I personally agree with Kanhawk, I'm sick and tired of watching horrible Lion teams on Thanksgiving with a losing record every year. When was the last time they were even competative?

NO FOOTBALL ON THANKSGIVING??? Are you insane or just slightly derranged?

The Lions stink, we all know that, but year after year this is Detroit's only football game which is broadcast nationally.
detroit started the tradition in 1934, and the cowboys started in 1966. I am not saying that the cowboys did it just to copy the lions, I am saying that the lions were the OG's of thanksgiving day football!

yeah, but this is a detroit lions tradition, not an NFL tradition.
