I will never fault a player for going out and trying to get as much money as he thinks he's worth. It's a cut-throat business, once a player is useless to an organization he will get cut, or traded with no worry about what promises may have been made to him, and the NFL is the worst out of all the pro-leagues since there are no guaranteed contracts.

I hate to say this but Quinton is going to be a bust, he seems lazy, he is Vernon Gholston part 2, I heard Jet fans are unhappy with the pick and saying the same thing about Quinton being the next Vernon

I don't fault them for trying to get what they can, I fault them for reneging on a signed agreement although I have to admit tI wasn't aware there are no guranteed contracts? If that's true I'm surprised the player's union agreed to it.

The sad thing is he seems to have the potential to play all over line. If he gets motivated enough he can be among the best defensive players in the NFL.

Shouldn't Tebow have been traded to a city that actually wanted him, like Jacksonville? I get the booing by Jets fans, but really, they should be booing the owners, not Tebow.

This past Saturday, there was an article in the Daily News that said exactly what I said at the time of the trade: the Jets got Tebow for one reason and one reason only. To light a fire under Sanchez. If Sanchez gets the message, and starts playing the way he did when he led the team to two conference finals, it will have been worthwhile. If not...I've already seen it in print that his days in a Jet uniform are numbered.
I like the idea of the enhanced competition, shall we call it, at quarterback. But I have to say, I'm not overly thrilled at the notion of Tim Tebow as our starter. For one thing, a quarterback whose completions look like mistakes makes me nervous. Call me old-fashioned if you have to, but I like my quarterbacks to know how to throw a pass.
