John Idzik is on the personnel side rather than the football side. The Jets will be smart to hire a candidate on the football side for their next general manager.
The Jets need to throw a boatload of money at Bill Polian. He's a very smart guy who understands correct personnel decisions and get this organization back to respectability.

Rumor is that Jets are hiring Texans head of college scouting.

Good luck with that, while doing ok in the first round we have been terrible in the later rounds. I thought our GM would be fired as well, but I hear he is going to be 'moved up' in the organization.

I may be wrong here but I believe there are two types of sports franchise owners. Those who want a winning team at all costs. Giants and Yankee ownership.
Tax right off owners Jets and Mets ownership.

Just my opinion so don't slam me.

Hmmmmm. . .considering the speculations that the Eagles and Jets have an agreement in place should Mariota be available at #6, this Foles for Bradford trade is an interesting wrinkle.

Somebody please explain to me why the Jets went for Ryan Fitzpatrick for QB needs....he's been on like 5 teams now. Why does the NFL does keep circulating these players They make headway in building their team and then do this...I just don't get it. Do you think they would trade for Bradford and give the Eagles their high draft pick?

Because he's better than Geno Smith.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is the Charlie Morton of the NFL. Electric stuff. Can't get out of his own way. But the potential for greatness - seen in occasional flashes - is so tempting a coach/GM has to think they can work with the guy to make him an All-Pro.

Because they don't want to spoil their record of never having had a great QB who played for them for 15 years or so like Brady and other greats.
