Default America's Team changed

I was just on ESPN.com and there was a poll asking who i thought was America's team. I picked option 4 and that was the highest results. Go to the link if you don't believe me and it's the 2nd poll but the World has spoken and the Cowboys are no longer America's team. I said it before and i'll say it again. They are NOT America's team.

Haha, I love how those deluded, sausage-huffing, cheese-chugging butterballs were the only state to vote "another team."

The Steelers are America's team?

Ah, what does Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Hawaii, and W. Virginia know?

I know more Steelers fans than Cowboy fans; and this was before they won Super Bowl XL. Come to think of it, I don't know any Cowboy fans.

HAHAHA, you can use stereotypes to make dumb jokes HAHAHAHA. Sad

There is no Americas team. The Packers have a good argument in that everyday people own their team not some billionaire who could pick up and move the team when they want.

Yes; and I did forget one. I used to have a neighbor that a HUGE Cowboys fans. I could here him yelling when Tony Romo fumbles the field goal in the playoff game against the Seahawks.

It should be noted, that neither Dallas or Pittsburgh are in the Midwest; and the Steelers fans I know, have never been within 100 miles of the Pennsylvania border. The point being that it is hard to accept a team as America's Team when you only know one fan; and another team, the Steelers, has more fans.

I hate the term America's Team. If it is a team that represents a city it is not and cannot be America's Team.

America's Teams are the Olympic teams, National Men's and Women's Soccer team, National Baseball team, etc.

I always hated that term too. I did kinda like the reference America's Crackwagon though.

With the Steelers though, the reference is for
Pittsburgh Steeler Fan ... Anybody remember Charles?

I agree! I hate that term also! Any team is THAT CITY's team! Chuck Noll addressed it perfectly back in the 70's when a reporter asked him...

Reporter: "Do you get mad when Dallas Cowboys are referred to as "America's Team" when your Steelers have won 4 Super Bowls?

Chuck Noll: "No, because we aren't America's team, we are PITTSBURGH'S TEAM!

And that is the way it should be WITH EVERY TEAM... No team should be called America's team--you are Phillie's team, Cleveland's team, Green Bay's team...
