Expected to give the Cowboys a boost on defense and special teams, Jones had 31 tackles and no interceptions in his nine games (six starts). He averaged only 4.5 yards on his 21 punt returns, with a long of 18 yards.
However, in the Star-Telegram report, Jones said that Pacman Jones graded out as the Cowboys' best cornerback.
Forget Catman's (apparently has nine lives) off-the-field drama. This guy played like garabge last year. Even for that reason alone, Jones has lost his mind for even considering this.
That plan of Adam Jones' return to the Cowboys? Put it on hold.
Through Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple, owner and general manager Jerry Jones said, "I have no plans to bring Adam back."
According to a report, the owner said he was considering bringing Jones back six months after the team cut the cornerback although the team has not contacted Jones' agent, Worrick Robinson.
Adam Jones continues to live in Prosper and work out with Deion Sanders. Robinson said he has had talks with "several teams" but that they are being patient and hoping something can be worked out by training camp.
For now, it appears the Cowboys will not be calling.
