Gonna be most interesting to watch Linval Joseph in the first few games. Especially against teams relying on the run.

certainly would be worth adding add'l defensive line help as it appears they are in no hurry to sign Kevin Williams at this point. Melton's age and obvious up-side offset a bit by his injury last year but would also provide a discount as well.

Melton could be a short yardage runner like he was at Texas. He is avg at best on defense as he always wanted to be a RB.

I don't think that the Vikings signing of Carolina CB, Admiral Munnerlyn can be overlooked based on these Pro Football Focus' stats (whatever they mean) and any that would point to this signing as a bust don't matter anyways because I'm still waiting for that stat that can measure a guy's heart

Captain Munnerlyn PFF Rankings and Advanced Stats

OVR --------- 10.1 (11)
vs. Pass ----- 3.4 (25)
vs. Run ------ 3.8 (6)
RYA ---------- 763
Comp. % ---- 67.3
TD All. --------- 1
QBRA -------- 85.5

I have no idea what those numbers mean. He better be fast and able to avoid interference calls while deflecting passes.

These extra weeks before the draft have created more than "normal" stories as the media reaches for things to cover. I certainly hope they don't stick with May and move the draft back to April next year.

I'm in my last weeks before retiring so I've spent more time than is healthy looking for something new or interesting about the draft. And it can't be found. These extra weeks are just painful. Move the draft to mid-March and get it over with.

And in case Rick Spielman is reading this, please trade down for additional picks and don't waste the 8th pick on a questionable quarterback (not that I have any reason to PONDER this happening).
