Not really.

The Alamodome would cost a ton to get up to NFL standards and the San Antonio market woudl be among the smallest in the league.

Let's also not pretend that the average family in San Antonio is that well off to afford the average NFL ticket. Small corporate base, too.

Most of all, the NFL thinks of San Anton' as just "the 40th largest TV market".

I don't see the Jags moving at all...if they can't field a good enough team to fill the seats in Jacksonville, how would the expect to fill the seats in entertainment happy Los Angeles?

They are going through a slump like most teams....they'll get better with some changes and the fans will come back.

There are some teams that have fairweather fans....and of course the economy is not helping things either.

Same in St. Louis! LOL!

I'm thinking it's L.A. - isn't the area close to building a huge new stadium in Carson, CA? Or has CA's horrid state economy put the brakes on that project?

Salt Lake City? Aren't Sundays fairly quiet in that city?

I'd say Washington DC... DC needs a "team", they can play at RFK and have plenty of fans thanks to Danny Boy Snyder! Seriously!

The NFL does not own the Jaguars, therefor, they cannot move that franchise. The Jaguars owner would have to initiate a move or sell the team for it to move.

Knock San Antonio all you want it is still considered a prime location for an NFL team as mentioned by the Governor himself among others. And those old tired arguments tearing down San Antonio just do not hold any water anymore. There are more than enough people here who are more than capable of buying NFL tickets, trust me.

And if the number of poor people in a community is going to be used as a gauge as to whether a town can have an NFL team or not then the Texans should be yanked out of Houston immediately. Because the last time I checked just about everyone south of FM 1960 was poor. Trust me, I lived in Houston for five long years and if that toilet can have an NFL team I know San Antonio can.
