For the fourth time in his amazing career, Peyton Manning has received the MVP award. And richly deserved, too.

He had a season for the ages. Not to say that others did not have great seasons, but no one compares with Manning.

Manning is a great player but I think its a total conspiracy that he won the MVP award this year. Many QB's had similar or better statistics and even arguably a RB by the name of Chris Johnson would have been more deserving. I think Rodgers, Favre, Rivers, and Brees all deserved it more than him as far as QB's go. The fact that it was a landslide vote is very suspicious but anytime voting is involved you can be sure that lying and cheating is as well...heck look at politics in America for example.

Drew Brees had a higher qb rating and completion percentage while throwing for nearly as many yards, more td's, and fewer interceptions.
This award is a joke.

Chris Johnson is a great back, but you could plug Cedric Benson or any other decent back into that offense and they probably would've had 1,300 to 1,500 yards. Same with Breese, he's great, but any decent QB would've won 10 games in New Orleans this year.

Indy wouldn't even be a .500 team without Manning. Actually, without Manning, the Colts probably wouldn't have a new stadium and would very well be on their way to LA in the next couple years. He has a rookie coach and several no name receivers that he's making into household names. Not to mention that he commands an offense better than half the coaches in the league. He may not have the best stats in the NFL this year, but it's hard to argue that he's not the most valuable player to his team.

They should just rename the award The Peyton and retire it. This is coming from someone who hates The Colts, but I'll give credit where credit's due.

MVP = Most valuable player on that team. The Colts would not even be 8-8 without Manning. And he's done it with 2 rookie receivers and no running game.

Chris Johnson has had a great player but he's on a team that didn't even make the playoffs, where would they be without him? Same place as now, out of the playoffs.

Don't hate just to hate!! Manning has earned this award. And the whole "conspiracy" talk is just plain RIDICILOUS!

Very true. The way Manning is playing, he could take the St. Mary's catholic elementary school pee wee football team to the NFL playoffs - if not all the way. He is the man.

Sorry but the award is a joke now and most people with half a brain will think something is wrong with Peyton winning by a landslide. And by the way Rodgers has done just as much if not moreso for the Packers than Peyton has done for the Colts. Rodgers was sacked 50 times this year whereas Peyton was sacked 10 times. Almost all of Rodgers stats were better too. The only thing I saw that was RIDICULOUS was Manning winning by that extreme a margin when other players had similar, or in some cases superior results.

Edit: And to be clear I don't hate Manning. He's a good player and he is a pretty funny guy...I just don't think he deserved the award this year. Not only did he win but it was a retarded land slide. You obviously do have man love for Manning though since you're from Indianapolis, so I can see how you have to make irrational statements to make points.

I think Manning is the best but Brees deserved it this time around. The only reason I would not have picked CJ is because Tenn did not make the playoffs.
