In the end the saints just keep Manning from his fourth qaurter push by out playing the colts.It was a great game plan that they stuck to pass the first qaurter newboys jitters.The end was when they keep the colts from any side line reception making them take the middle passes and stopping those short passes with no run afterwards. Eat the clock up even if they scored one touchdown. Great defensive playing.

I'd argue that Favre dealt with the same problem of having a no-name cast with the Packers. The only few big name free agent signings that were made in his entire 16 years were on defense with Reggie White, Charles Woodson, Al Harris, etc.

His receivers were always draft picks that may or may not have panned out to anything and the running game with the exception of a few years was average at best.
