Garcia was willing to take a paycut to be the backup. He just wanted to win and not be with NFL graveyards like San Francisco (post Steve Young era), Detroit, Cleveland, Oakland & Tampa (post 2002 SB). The Eagles didn't offer him a contract.
He didnt want to develop the young QB's in Tampa, they cut him, he went to Oakland, didnt want to help develop Russell they cut him.... yeah and even when he was in Philly he wanted to start. Him and McNabb were not buddies.
My reading skills are just fine.

Jeff Garcia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Though he stated that he would love to re-sign with Philadelphia, the Eagles decided not to offer Garcia a new contract after the season. The Eagles opted to instead sign the younger A.J. Feeley to a three-year deal.

Am temporarily closing this for moderator review, will reopen this soon. McNabb fans can vent on this one, the other one is locked up, and any future McNabb threads will be deleted as well. That also goes for threads that get started that cause nothing but arguments, will be taking a close look at them.

It's now back up, but I'm watching it closely. If i get another report on this it's done.

I don't care who takes him--Just get rid of him!
Get ready for Kevin Kolb who is not going to win 4 games this year as a starter!
