The leagues policy is almost as if the players are in prison. What is next.... NFL players can't go to Best Buy or to the grocery store?

If you read the transcripts, there was alot more to it than just going to a bar and buying drinks...

Ben is not just some college kid out getting hammered on a Friday night.

If you or I did what he did and it became public, our jobs would probably be gone.

6 weeks its excessive. Ben will miss the first 6 games of the regular season starting on sun sept 12th. Atlanta (Home), tenn (Away), tampa bay (A), balt (H), cleveland (H) & miami (A). Luckily the bye week is after cleveland. Ben will start on halloween nite at new orleans saints. Its a sunday night football game. The steelers play 1 monday nite game on 11-8 at cinn, 3 sunday nite games at new orleans (10-31), home against new england on 11-14 & away at bal on 12-5. Those are 4 straight tough games. They play thurs nite at home vs carolina. Overall the steelers dont have a easy schedule especially with ben out the first 6 games.
