Devils haven't played in the Meadowlands in a few years. They thought so highly of the Meadowlands they moved to Newark! Nets are doing the same. LOL! The only thing of interest near the stadium is the horse track and OTB.
I go to the Meadowlands once a week for the flea market and OTB and I can guarantee this is going to be a disaster for the NFL.
And I was wrong, the closest major (200K+) city isn't Newark or New York. It's Jersey City. The same Jersey City that had to have the FBI patrol the streets in 2006 because their police were proven inadequete. The same Jersey City that has former city council members and a former mayor sitting in a jail cell as we chat.
This will be a disaster of epic proportions.

Yes and are the horses even running in February?? If anything it's going to be the trotters not the flats or dark.....

Like I said besides what Twista said there isn't a dam thing of interest outside of the stadium..people who can afford super bowl tix will be taking their play money across the HUdson..NJ will just get the bill

We shall see in 2014

No, not really. Look at a map and compare the distance to the Meadowlands from downtown JC and the distance from Times Square. Not to mention it's a hell of a lot easier to get there from JC.

What? Downtown JC ia 9.1 miles from the stadium(I used newport centre mall) while times square is 8.4 miles away. The heights is the only section of JC that is closer than Manhattan to the stadium. As for the easier to get there part, yeah most of the time, but it really depends on the time of day. Going to NYC is a straight shot.

What address are you using because I put in mill st Newark, NJ in google maps and I am getting 9.7 miles which is further than both NYC and JC.
And besides that is not even the heart of Newark, Manhattan is a good 2 miles closer to the stadium than Newark is. Now if we start talking Brooklyn or Queens that would be a different story.
