I have never really been a big fan of carpets besides, my husband is allergic to dust mite but since we got this vacuum cleaner, a home with carpet is no longer a concern. The first thing you will notice is its excellent suction ability. Have owned one for over 4 years now and it is an outstanding cleaner. It's an upright cleaner but easy to manoeuvre and picks up anything and everything so you have to be careful about what you leave lying around.
Not only carpets can be vacuumed, hard floors as well so choosing the hard floor option enable you to vacuum your kitchen and bathroom without that friction. You also have the option to use the hose with a fast spin brush which is perfect for stairs, another brush for surfaces the large vacuum can't get to like the leg section of a car and obviously the narrow mouthed pipe for tiny corners. The electric cable is long enough for a good size room but the hose is not that long and you will need to take the vacuum as close as possible to use the hose in a particular area.
Cleaning the vacuum is also very easy. The dirt/dust is collected into the collection jar and that can be emptied when it's full. You will know when it's full because it won't pick properly and may have a faint sound or a different sound than normal.
The one thing that you need to watch out for is the turbo noise that it makes, I mean I have had vacuums in the past but this one can be deafening. If you live above your neighbour or you have thin walls, then it's advisable to vacuum when your neighbours are awake.
The durability is outstanding and although it's quite bulky, it keeps working fine after numerous falls.
It was quite expensive when it was first released but today you can get it for as little as $100 so compared to other vacuums with similar functionalities, it is relatively cheap. It's an all round good vacuum and does the job well.
