Default Review of Holland Bar Stool Richmond Billiards Table

Holland Bar Stool Richmond Billiards Table

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

From around the time of my late teens I always dreamed of having my own billiards/pool table in a games room of my house. I have had the cheap and nasty versions, but when I had the opportunity to purchase one of real top quality, I jumped at the chance and have scored a huge hit with my Holland Bar Stool Richmond Billiards Table.

It is so stylish in fact with a cover on, it would grace any dining room as a stunning centrepiece. The legs in particular are magnificently hand crafted, displaying marvellous joinery techniques. The table is manufactured in solid hardwood maple, with a light stain finish, although I could have had it in medium or dark stain if I had so wished.

The felt is in green, but again that was my choice; I could have gone for any from blue, red, burgundy, brown or even black. I am a bit of a traditionalist though, and my dream always had a green cloth, so that was what it had to be. The style could be classed as semi rustic although officially I believe it falls in the traditional category. The playability is wonderful, with a true impact from the impressive cushions and a nice feel about the run of the balls and potting into the immaculately leather rimmed pockets.

The ball return trough lifts easily on and off this 8 foot long masterpiece, and at $2,966 I honestly believe I have a snip. The American Heritage Fairfax has a very classy look, with its dark oak contrasting nicely with its burgundy felt, but this would cost almost $1000 more; so I'm am completely happy with my Holland Bar Stool Richmond. I have never been so popular with friends, but I guess it's not me they are coming to see!
