I've been using my 21inches- 158 cc 2 in 1 push mower manufactured by MTD Yard Machines for 5 years now and it's still working great for my small yard. It has a Briggs and Stratton Quantum Engine, a recoil start system, 4 cycles, 1 cylinder and holds .40 gallon gasoline.
My lawn mower is easy to assemble and it's easy to fix the problems by using the owner's manual trouble shooting guide. It is light weight and my wife who is only 5'3" can operate it. I always attach the rear bagger to catch the grass because my wife likes to cover or mix the soil with using the cut grass as a natural fertilizer.
Sometimes the grass at my backyard grows tall and I'm thankful that my lawn mower has a 9 height adjustments, I just pick the height I need to cut the grass. The blade is still sharp and it cuts even the tough weeds that grow all over. It's easy to maneuver around corners and bushes.
There are a few incidents when the engine won't start, it's my mistake for not checking the fuel tank- it's empty. Another occasion is when the spark plug wire is disconnected. I thought it was already broken since it's been sitting on my shed for a long period of time.I just connected the spark plug wires and it started.Other than that I never had any problem since I bought it for more or less $ 200.
My 21" lawn mower works perfect with my small yard and it is highly recommended even the housewives who likes working in the yard can use it because it is light weight, easy to start and operate.
