Haier HVUE06ABB 6-Bottle Wine Fridge
Rating: 4 out of 5
I bought the Haier HVUE06ABB 6-Bottle Wine Fridge mostly for my favorite white wines, which I wanted to be able to chill at the perfect temperature without taking up room in my fridge, or having them be stored at an incorrect temperature. However, since I've started using this wine cellar I have found its the perfect solution for blush wines, as well as champagnes and sparkling wines.
The Haier HVUE06ABB 6-Bottle Wine Fridge is very well contructed. It fits easily under my cabinet, and would be an unobtrusive addition to a bedroom, if you prefer to keep wine cellars out of the way. The door opens and closes smoothly and the digital readout is easy to read, and easy to adjust the temperature for.
The only problem I have is that during the summer, since I keep my house about 76 to 78 degrees the wine fridge only gets down to 53-54 degrees. I didn't see that mentioned when I bought it but the directions state it quite clearly when you receive the wine fridge. This is fine for my Chardonnays, the light reds and blushes, and I can always take out my richer reds out to warm a bit, but when it comes to my Pinot Grigio, I always find that it tastes slightly too warm to taste right for me. This also applies to some of the ice wines and dessert wines I occasionally have. I usually end up leaving these in my regular fridge.
Despite my small complaints about the temperature of the Haier HVUE06ABB 6-Bottle Wine Fridge, I'm pretty happy with it over all, and I plan on keeping it. As I live in a warmer climate, I would definitely recommend it to anyone even slightly north of Texas, where I currently reside.
