Gazelle Edge Elliptical Trainer

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

The Gazelle Edge elliptical trainer is a top quality device which offers users a thorough, total-body workout.

With an MSRP of $129.99, there are competing products available at a lower price. However, in comparison to the amount I was paying in gym membership fees, I consider this elliptical to be well worth the money.

Constructed of rolled steel, the device is made to withstand heavy amounts of usage. Yet, due to the efficient design structure, the framework appears scarce and slight at first glance. However, continued performance over time has proven the high degree of craftsmanship involved in creating this machine.

For users who like to keep tabs on every aspect of their workouts down to the most minute details, this model features a multi-function computer which tracks information such as distance traveled and calories burned. This is perfect for users who are serious about altering their workout intensity as conditions dictate because it allows for an instant summary of the user's results as compared with their output.

Some users may be concerned about the amount of bodily stress which might come about as a result of a workout routine. The Gazelle Edge was clearly designed with a user's well-being in mind. The possible range of motion outperforms most competitors and allows users to go from a complete stop to a strenuous run without unnecessary joint strain. Although the inclusion of extra wide footplates was likely meant to be an advantage, in actuality it can result in a problematic lack of foot stability, so care must be taken to wear suitable footwear.

Although it is best to try any equipment before use, the Gazelle Edge is capable of providing a cardiovascular workout that is effective, yet does not cause undue stress of the joints.
