The WhirlpoolGU2475XTVY Integrated Dishwasher is Energy Star rated, meaning it uses no more water than is absolutely necessary. It is approved by the government for saving resources, and lowering energy bills.

Probably the most striking feature about the machine is its sleek frontage. The electronic control panel is fitted to the interior of the door, meaning all you actually see is a modern, clutter-free panel. The only drawback to this is that you do have to shut the door very quickly once you have pressed 'start'!

The panel allows you to select from a variety of wash types, such as power scour, and high temperature wash. This ensures that dishes come out clean, even if they are particularly greasy. An ingenious feature is the adaptive wash. When this is selected, sensors inside the dishwasher work out the appropriate length of wash, based on how big the load is.

Thirty six aimed jets to scour away the grime results in a great quality wash so you will not have to re-clean any dishes. There is no need to rinse dishes before using the dishwasher, as there is a built-in food disposer and a self-cleaning filter, keeping the machine free from debris. A sensor detects how clean the water is, and prevents any dirty water from circulating around the machine, depositing debris on the dishes. The wash cycle can be long, but this is because of the slow motor which saves energy.

There is an option to have the load dried, but this uses a lot of power. The interior of this dishwasher is not conducive to drying, as it is plastic. Machines with stainless steel interiors aid the drying process much better.

Internally there is a movable cutlery basket (which can be hung from the door to give more loading space) and two adjustable and roomy racks. There are also clips to hold light dishes, such as plastic bowls, in place.

More expensive dishwasher are extremely quiet, but even though this one costs less, it does not make a lot of noise. It is not intrusive, and a conversation could easily be held while it is in use.

This is by no means the most expensive dishwasher you could buy, but it has many time-saving and modern features. Added to this, it has been awarded an Energy Star, showing that it is better for the environment and could help lower your energy bills.
