Canon EOS 5D Mark II Digital Camera

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

This camera is well worth a rating of 5/5. I purchased this camera six months ago for $2,499.95. This camera shoots 21.1 MP and has Canon's amazing DIGIC 4 Image Processor. The 5D Mark II also has a full image sensor, so I can take full advantage of my wide angle lenses with no cropping. Not only is this camera easy to use, but it takes beautiful, professional images. It shoots 3.9 frames per second which is as fast as I could possibly need. This camera can also shoot Hi-Definition video with sound, although that is not what I use it for. It also boasts a video playback control panel which includes Play, Pause, Stop, Single-Frame Advance, Slow Motion playback in forward and reverse, the ability to move from the beginning of a clip to the end of it, and sound level. As for the camera, the auto focus is really fast. On the back of the camera is a beautiful 3" LCD monitor and displays up to 98% of the image captured.

This camera is light and easy to carry, but feels sturdy in the design. It has a good look to it and it is fun to shoot with. For previous Canon users it will be a nice upgrade without needing to read the entire manual, except for the video side of the unit perhaps.

Although I'm not a professional photographer, this lower end professional camera has all of the camera features and image quality that I could ask for. It turns on quickly and is ready to go for those times when I see something that I want to shoot right away. I am very happy with my purchase of this camera and have also found that most of my older Canon lenses fit this camera.
