InFocus IN3102 Projector
The InFocus IN3102 Projector is a great item to use for trainings, presentations, etc., anytime you need to show your work to an audience via a projector screen. The IN3102 model retailed for about $1100 dollars making it one of the more affordable models. Although I did not purchase this item (my agency did for me), I have used it for the past 2 years.
One of the best features of the projector is that it only hooks up to your laptop one way. If you have previous experiences with projectors of this type, you will understand how important this is. Many mobile projectors have cords that fit into your laptop and hook into the projector that can be very complicated to figure out. This model has distinguishable ends that only hook into the laptop, letting you know that the other end only plugs into the projector.
Weighing only about 3 pounds, it is very lightweight to carry around and easy to set up on a small table. There are only a couple of downfalls with this model. On the underneath side, there is a retractable foot that will allow the unit to be raised up to bring the printed material higher on the projection screen. This is a great feature; however, the little foot sometimes does not want to go back into the unit, although it should with only the push of a button. If you work with it, the foot will eventually go back in. Secondly, the lens cap on the front of the lens wants to pop off when it is in transport and of course you will want to make sure that the lens does not get scratched. Since this unit is a smaller one, if it is being used continually for a long day of presentations, during a break or at lunch time, the user will want to shut off the unit, to keep it from getting too hot.
The InFocus brand has been very reliable for our agency. The unit always works well, and the focus is excellent. This model can be ceiling mounted or mobile, which is very convenient for our company. We have several of these units, some are ceiling mounted and the rest are utilized by staff while on the road. When looking for a new projector in the future, I have no doubt that our company will be looking at InFocus first. The company ships its merchandise quickly and the average warranty is for at least three years.
