For the most part, this is a great TV. The picture is clearer than on most TVs I've seen. Whether I'm watching TV or a movie, it truly is a theater quality picture. However, some have mentioned that the screen is so clear that it almost looks like you're watching a play. It can take some getting used to.
I was initially excited about the 3D capabilities of this TV but I didn't actually get the correct equipment to try it for about 4 months after I'd bought the TV. In certain areas of our living room it looks great. However, you really have to sit in the exact right spot in order to get the full capabilities of 3D. This would likely be fine for a family of 1 or 2, but with a full house, there is simply no way to get the entire family in a position where we can all see the 3D at the same time.
The biggest problem with this TV is the fact that it has an issue that my husband refers to as 'light-bleeding'. Basically, if we watch the TV in complete darkness, there are cloudy areas in corners of the television. In fact, we initially thought it was actually clouds on the screen. This is only a problem when we're watching in complete blackness, so we just make sure to keep a light on. However, for the price of this TV, I do feel that I should be able to watch it whenever and however I'd like.
My last complaint is about the thinness of this TV. It is rather small and lightweight, which is great for the most part, but it makes me anxious around my kids. So far we've had no problems but I do feel that if this unit was to be bumped in the wrong way it would likely sustain some damage.
