There are times when a smaller space heater is needed to provide comfort. It sometimes happens that a particular room does not receive the proper amount of heat from the central heating system in the house or apartment, necessitating an additional source of heat. Spring and autumn are also times when a space heater might be desired - it is not really cold enough to turn on the furnace, but too chilly to do without some source of heat. Rather than turn on the furnace, a much more sensible and economical solution is to use the Optimus H52-10 Quartz heater. Someone living in a warm climate might find that one or two of these heaters will supply most, if not all, of their heating needs.

The Optimus will deliver warmth exactly where it is needed, and it will deliver it quickly. Within seconds of turning the heater on, a feeling of warmth will engulf the user, making them more comfortable. Because this is a quartz heater, it uses much less energy than a regular electric heater, and the quartz elements are long lasting and quiet in operation. Generally, the Optimus will only cost 4 or 5 cents per hour to operate.

As safety is important with any heating source, the user will find that there are features built into the Optimus to make sure that its operation is safe as well as efficient. There is a cut-off switch on the bottom of the heater that will turn the heater off if it tips over. As pets or small children could knock the heater over accidentally, this is an important feature. A grill covers the front of the heater to make sure that no one's hands are able to get burned on the elements. The housing of the Optimus remains cool, so brushing against it will not result in burns. As with any space heater, however, there should be a clear area of two to three feet in front of it to prevent any chance of fire. Some problems might occur with getting the heater to turn on quickly, but contacting customer service might solve that issue.

The Optimus Quartz Radiant Heater is light in weight (less than 5 pounds), which makes it easy for it to be carried wherever it needs to be used. There is a cord wrap on the back of the heater to make storage easier and neater. Two heat settings are available with the Optimus, 400 watts, which would be the low setting, and 800 watts, the high. While the Optimus is not meant to provide heating for a large space, it does extremely well in a small room to provide quick and quiet heat. This heater has no fan incorporated into the design, which contributes to its quiet operation.

The price of the Optimus H5210 Infrared Quartz Radiant Heater will vary from vendor to vendor, but the cost is generally under $30.00. When looking for an economical and easy way to heat a smaller space, or provide a bit of additional warmth on a cold evening, the Optimus is an excellent choice.
