2007 Toyota Corolla

Rating: 3 out of 5
  • Currently 3.0/5.0

The Toyota Corolla may be labeled as the most practical vehicle around. High fuel efficiency, coupled with numerous safety features, plenty of space, utilitarian virtues and a host of other middling attributes make this vehicle one of the dullest, but practical, rides around.
Being labeled dull isn't necessarily a bad thing for a car. However, this model never seems to develop a following among car enthusiast because this vehicle is essentially the car at its most basic. There is no skimping on anything in a Toyota Corolla but there certainly isn't anything included to make car drivers perk up when they heard the word 'Corolla'.
For those who are largely unconcerned about their car, those who just want to get from point A to point B the most efficient, the Toyota Corolla is highly recommended. The ride itself is quite, smooth and comforting, perhaps hinting that the company had more in mind for this model as a potential luxury car. Nevertheless, there is a dearth of features to this model.
The exterior is adequate and certainly won't win any beauty contests. Again, this model just gets the job done at its most basic level. The interior, while cozy, is a bland mélange of faux metal gray and cheesy looking black leather and plastic. Again, it's an interior, nothing more.
There isn't anything wrong with the performance of a Corolla and it is in fact an excellent car for motoring around the city and suburbs. However, there's just something missing about the vehicle that doesn't inspire loyalty. I can't imagine there are legions of Toyota Corolla fans out there waiting each year for the latest model with bated breath. For car people who aren't car people, look in to this model for one of the most practical, if unexciting, rides around town.
