Bose Quiet Comfort 2 Noise Canceling Earphones

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

When I recently got some noise canceling earphones to keep in my office, my husband, who also works in a noisy office, decided he'd like a pair of noise canceling earphones to keep at his office as well. He settled on a more upgraded version of the headphones I had purchased, and got the Bose Quiet Comfort 2 Noise Canceling Earphones from Amazon for $400.

These earphones cost a little bit more due to some features included on them not included on other earphones. The cord for these earphones run only to one side to help eliminate tangles and is heavy duty to endure a lot of abuse during use. The only real downside we've noticed about these earphones is that the sound canceling circuitry is in the headphones itself and is battery powered, so when the battery dies, the music ceases to play or block out sound. Rechargeable batteries are recommended for these earphones. They also fold up and fit into an included case for protection during transport, which is nice. The design is very ergonomic, with an over the head fit that is tight and unlikely to slip. The cups fit comfortably over the ear and do not rub. The earphones are sweat resistant but not water resistant.
The sound on these earphones is pretty good for sports earphones. The bass is nicely balanced and the sound is equalized quite well.

They also come with a 2 year warranty from the manufacturer, something a lot of headphones don't come with. The earphones are lightweight enough that you can forget you are wearing them. The cord is a little bit long for iPod users with armbands. All in all, these ended up being a great pair of earphones, even if the price was a little higher than we had hoped to spend on workplace earphones.
