Black & Decker Steam Xpress Iron AS210

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

Being a military family, we have to use our iron a lot. So when it came time to replace our old hand-me-down iron, we got theBlack & Decker Steam Xpress Iron AS210. Despite what you have read about Black & Decker irons elsewhere, this model is durable and reliable. We've been using it for a while now and have never had any problems with this iron.

Apparently the Black & Decker AS250 was of shoddy design, so avoid that one. But if you need a good solid iron you can't go wrong with the AS210. This iron only cost us $30 and we've got a ton of use out of it with no problems. It has variable steam settings, 3-way auto shutoff, anti-drip and auto-cleaning. The cord pivots so it stays out of your way, it has a clear vessel on it so you can see how much water is inside, and the handle is very comfortable and won't cramp your hand during big jobs.

There's nothing worse than putting on your clothes after ironing to find missed wrinkles or discoloration caused by the iron. I'm happy to say that I haven't had that happen to me yet since buying the Black & Decker AS210. In the military, your superiors won't accept any excuse for a sub-par uniform, so this iron has been a godsend. I'd recommend it for anyone that needs a good, solid iron that they can keep for a while without worrying about it dying on them. For only $30, you really can't beat this Black & Decker iron. I give it 5 out of 5 stars because it's easily the best iron I've ever used. I knew Black & Decker because of their great power tools, but it looks like they have other things to offer as well.
