We purchased this play set for our backyard three years ago. The cost was $1,795.00. Even though it comes with precut wood and pre-drilled holes, we were a little nervous about putting it together. It ended up being not as tough as we thought it would be, although in total we had 5 adults working on it. The hardest part was getting it anchored into the ground. The directions were easy to read and to the point. There wasn't much having to re-read anything. The ready to build swing set was easily assembled, and a nice feature about this is that you have the ability to interchange different types of swings, such as it is easy to add a baby swing. All of the Swing-N-Slide play sets have additional items that you can buy to go with your play set, such as a pirate's ship wheel for more imaginative play.
The kit came with everything we needed to put it together (except tools) and had plenty of extra nuts, screws, and bolts. It has a five year warranty for parts and workmanship if the play set has been used under normal use. The slide itself has a lifetime warranty and is made of a type of plastic that doesn't get overly heated in the sun. It also has a wood roof for play out of the sun, as well as a fun rock climbing wall.
Since putting this play set up my children have had hours of fun on it. There is not much upkeep other than tightening the screws every season and re-staining the wood, which we haven't had to do yet. Overall, for the price I feel like this is a good, sturdy play set that will get years of use.
