The LED television craze is becoming more of a standard than a craze these days. This is thanks to the reduced power consumption that LED sets work with and the fact that LED sets are thinner and offer more viewing angles. One of the sets that take advantage of these three factors is the 47LE8500 from LG. This is a set that offers all sorts of impressive things in its 47-inch package.
One of the most notable things that were found with this set came from its dynamic contrast ratio. The set is measured with a dynamic contrast ratio of nine million to one. It is a real challenge to measure how well the contrast ratio works but it was found that the brightest and darkest colors on the set could be easily seen without any real problems or needs to adjust the set.
The 1080p quality of this image was tested with the use of more than thirty different THX standards. This clearly shows in that the set is vibrant and realistic in its appearance.
It was incredibly easy to view this LED set from practically anywhere in the testing room. The set worked with clear images on almost every single angle that it was tested from. This set truly takes advantage of this benefit of the LED backlighting feature.
The thin size of the set as mentioned earlier was another greater feature. The set came in at about one and a half inches in depth. This is a big reason as to why the set weighed only seventy pounds, which is about ten to twenty pounds less than another similar set. This made it much easier to set up and take down than other sets.
The electrical measurements stated that the set used up around a hundred watts of energy. This is about par for the course for some of the more electrically proficient television sets. This means that it was one of the best sets to use with regards to electricity and electrical use.
