Default Review of Toro CCR 3650 Snow Thrower

Toro CCR 3650 Snow Thrower

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

We purchased this Toro snow thrower three years ago for approximately $499 and it has been reliable since we have owned it. We live in an area that snows a lot during the winter and use it frequently. The only problem with it is if it has been a very heavy snow and the snow has piled up, it requires us to go over the same area several times. But considering the size of the thrower, which is 20" it does a real good job. It cleans down to the concrete of our driveway every time. It is easy to maneuver and the crank to change the direction that you're throwing the snow is very easy to move. It also throws the snow up to 30' away and can handle 1,700 lbs. per minute.

This model came with a 2 year full warranty and a 5 year guaranteed to start promise. It has started the first time we use it every time, even after sitting in the garage through all the other seasons. While using it, it can be loud and we use hearing protection when using it. However, compared to other models it is on the quieter side. The electrical start allows you to plug the thrower in to an outlet and it starts immediately.

This unit does not require you put oil into it as it is lubricated through the oil/gas mixture that you put into the gas tank. This unit also has a lever you need to pull up to have it operate, so if you need to move something in front of the blower, it makes it difficult to do. This is an excellent safety feature.

The best thing about a snow thrower is that it is a great time saver, as well as saving yourself from potential back pain from shoveling snow the old fashioned way.
