Parker Fly Mojo Electric Guitar

I've been a long time fan of the classic electric guitars made by Fender and Gibson like most guitar nuts. I was skeptical about trying out this space age looking guitar favored by Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid and other contemporary rock and jazz guitarists. I thought, what could Parker do with the electric guitar that hasn't been thought of already? Well, a lot really.

First of all there's the tone. Parker guitars were developed to not only give a guitarist the warm tone they love with the Les Paul, but also the edgy bridge tones that make the Fender Stratocaster famous. This guitar is about versatile sound. The Parker Fly Mojo guitar features the following components to get you the perfect dialed-in sound a pro musician is looking for on the stage or studio:

o Seymour Duncan jazz pickups in the neck position, and JB pickups in the bridge position.
o 3-way magnetic pickup selection with push-pull coil tap.
o Custom Fishman piezos and stereo voltage-doubled pre-amp.
o Custom Parker vibrato system

This unique combination of choices in the pickup and preamp system allows a precise selection of tone, timbre and color to fine tune the sound for any style of music. You can duplicate just about any sound quality either the Gibsons or Fenders in your closet can create.

Another factor that performer will appreciate is the light 5 lb weight of this guitar, which makes it easy to play on stage when there are several sets to play. The benefit of the lighter weight body comes without sacrificing tone. All Fly Mojo guitars feature a solid mahogany body and neck, which lends to excellent natural tone and sustain when you have the amp turned up to eleven. The Fly Mojo guitar comes in some unique color choices, my personal favorite is the Majik Blue with Emerald Green close behind.

The Mojo Fly also comes in several models including a MIDI version for todays electronic and techno applications that run through a MIDI controller system or direct to a laptop computer, making this guitar an easy choice for the industrial or electronic musician. The Mojo Fly MIDI features a Roland® GK-KIT-GT3 Divided Pickup Kit which allows the player to use any tone you can imagine by plugging into a Roland V-Guitar System or Guitar Synthesizer.

For the traditionalist, the Mojo Fly Flame or Mojo Fly Quilt have beautiful finishes sure to catch the light just right and impress the crowd in the back of the room. These beautiful finishes also come in a variety of colors and styles, from the traditional bursts and flame looks, to wild colors and combinations.

The bottom line is that before you plunk down 5 grand for a new Gibson Les Paul or Fender Custom Shop guitar, make sure you give the Parker Mojo Fly guitar a good test drive. From gritty lead guitar sounds of hard rock to smooth sounds of jazz or new age, this guitar does it all with a unique style that has made it a favorite with today's contemporary players.
