My property is next to a vacant lot and my fence is already crowded with little trees and bushes and it's really ugly. I found someone in my area that is willing to rent his chainsaw for $25 an hour. It was expensive to rent so I just decided to buy my own when I saw this Homelite 14" 35 cc chainsaw sold for $99 I bought it.
I looked at the features of the tool and I am convinced it's worth it. The chainsaw is fully assembled and it is pretty powerful with a 9.0 amp motor and the weight is manageable at 7.8 lbs. It has a 14" bar with 3/8 low profile chain and it has a safety tip to help prevent a kick-back.
When I first used this chain saw I find it really easy to use and I don't feel a very strong vibration. It cuts the branches in seconds and it's actually safe.
It has also an automatic oiler that keeps the chain lubricated with an oil level window where I can see if there is enough oil before I start using my tool. I'm glad the oil doesn't leak. Another thing I like about it is the ergonomically designed wrap around handle with soft comfort hand grip this helped a lot because my hand is a bit sensitive due to an old accident.
Over-all this chain saw is a big help for me to cut all the unwanted trees and bushes that grow around my fence. It's powerful, easy to start and maintain. It's one year old now and I believe it will last me for years. The price is right and I will not hesitate to recommend it to a friend who needs something for small to medium cutting or pruning job.
