I adore this mower.

I originally bought it because it was affordable and I vaguely liked the idea of helping the environment by not using gas or electricity to mow my lawn. However, after purchasing the product and using it for two full seasons, I really started to love it.

The mower is, of course, extremely quiet. I can mow the lawn in the evenings, when it's cooler, without disturbing the neighbors, waking children, or upsetting dogs. Because it's non-threatening, I can mow the lawn while the kids are playing nearby. If something happens, I can hear them. If someone stops by to visit, I'll know they're there.

This product is just as easy to push as a gas mower, and actually easier to maneuver because it's not as wide and has no heavy engine in the middle. While the grass doesn't get as picture perfect as an expensive gas mower (there is some small difficulty cutting some tougher grasses and weeds so sometimes tiny sprouts of grass stick up), it's impossible to notice unless someone was looking very closely. My mower has never gotten rusty, despite two long, damp winters spent in a shed. Just like a gas mower, the height of the grass is adjustable.

Because the product uses no gas or electricity, there is little investment after the initial purchase. The only maintenance it requires is a sharpening of the blades which have only needed to be done one time in two years (they sell a kit but I hired someone to do it for less than the cost of gas). There is no need to run to the gas station, maneuver gas into those little gas cans, and then pour it into a separate machine. There are no fumes. I never struggle pulling the cord to get the engine started. The oil doesn't need to be changed at the beginning of the season. It simply works, every single time.
