This is a fairly nice coffee maker with a grinder for being on the lower end of the price spectrum. It's a nice looking coffee maker if stainless steel is a look you like. It would be better looking if the carafe were insulated stainless steel instead of glass, but that nice a feature is obviously out of this price range. Overall, the look is clean except for the carafe's handle, which sticks out quite far from the rest of the machine.

The grinder is a nice feature. For convenience sake, I like having a grinder attached and connected straight to the rest of the brewing section of the coffee maker. However, having an attached grinder that drains straight to the brewing section means it's impossible to grind things other than coffee, like spices, because it cannot be properly cleaned after.

This grinder has options for different grinds. I only use three of the settings, but those three work quite well. On the finer grind, the grinder has a tendency to spew coffee "dust" to places where it ought not to go, causing a mess that is almost impossible to clean. But the amount is small and has not affected the rest of the machine. The mess from the grinder is a minor annoyance, though the worst thing about the grinder is that it is incredibly, startlingly loud. The first time I heard it I thought something must be wrong.

My favorite part of this coffee maker is that it comes with a charcoal water filter. The water where I live is not the best for anything, much less consumption. The filter noticeably changes the taste-for the better. It's a wonderful feature for a coffee maker in this price range.

The machine makes fairly good coffee, from bean to finished brew. It looks nice and consistently works well.
