KitchenAid Professional 610 Series Stand Mixer

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

The KitchenAid Professional 610 Series Stand Mixer has been a life saver to my business. First of all, I was able to pick between silver, black, red or white to match the rest of my kitchen appliances. The ten speed slide control was very helpful in choosing how fast to whip or blend products. I didn't have to stop the mixer to adjust speed, simply slide it farther up or down as needed. With 3 horse power, this is a strong running standing mixer that comes with a small six quart bowl for ease of mixing. Everything is made of metal and stainless steel which means that I never have to worry about things getting eaten up in my the dishwasher as the bowl and attachments are all dishwasher safe for ease and convenience.

This KitchenAid Professional comes with a bread hook, 2 wire whips in different sizes, flat beaters, and a pour spout for easy use. If you are mixing a heavy dough or dense product, the mixer does start to get a little hot as the motor works harder to achieve your goal, and butter and sugar take awhile to cream as it splatters against the sides of the bowl before it actually comes together. Although the motor has never stopped on me, I feel that it could eventually stop working, leaving me out of money. This mixer claims that it can make thirteen dozen cookies at once or eight and a half loaves of bread in one batch. I have not attempted to make that much at once, so I am unsure of the validity of this claim.

Overall, this has been the best purchase for my kitchen and I have used it enough times that it's MSRP price of $500 was well worth it. I have been able to eliminate other products such as my blender, and mixer.
