My family lives in a 4,000 square foot house but spend the majority of our time in a few rooms. Therefore, in the winters we tend to keep the overall temperature of the house a bit lower than we'd like, and then use space heaters to heat up the rooms we're spending time in. Based on the specs I'd read of this heater, it was supposed to offer heat to an entire room. That was not the experience we've had.

First of all, it really only heats about 4 feet. I realize that it's not designed to heat an entire house, but the living room in which we use this is not that large. Second of all, it claims to be an 'oscillating' heater but it only turns about 40-50 degrees. That leaves one side of the room heated while the other actually is colder, as the back of the heater blows cold air.

It comes with controls to set the heater for 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours or 4 hours. It also has a wide range o temperatures at which you can set the it. However, it does not come with a remote control, as many other space heaters do, and when you push the buttons to change the temp, they are extremely loud. This is an issue when you have two sleeping children. It also gets extremely hot to the touch, which makes us a little nervous when using it around our kids.

There are a few things I like about this heater though. It is a very nice design. Because we use it in the middle of our living room, I'm glad to have an option that doesn't just look like your average box with coils in it. With the exception of the loud buttons, it's also a very quiet heater.
