This handsome stainless steel refrigerator has side-by-side French doors, with the bottom third devoted to the freezer compartment. It also has a through-the-door water and ice dispenser, which can be difficult to find in a bottom-freezer model. The ice maker creates up to 9 pounds of bullet-shaped cubes within 24 hours. The water is filtered to provide the best taste and the interior air is filtered to reduce food odors.

There is a 'Perfect Temp Drawer' with nine preset computer controls: Meat/Poultry, Fish/Shellfish, Cheese, Snacks, White/Sparkling Wine, Chilled Beer, Thaw, Perfect Marinade, and Ready to Serve. There are also three 'favorites' buttons that allow you to customize temperature in case the preset categories aren't enough. The dairy compartment is warmer than the rest of the fridge and is for butter and cheese.

The Wave-Touch control panel display is mostly dark until you gently touch the glass. In Sleep Mode, the only displays visible are water, cubes and crushed options for the water and ice dispenser. When you touch anywhere on the glass, the control panel is awakened, and you see more options, including the 'fast freeze' option, which is a great feature when you need to cool something down fast, and 'ice off,' which allows you to turn the ice maker off. The ice that's already in the ice bin will melt from that point forwards, so it needs to be transferred to the freezer.

If you touch the 'options' icon, that takes you to the third level display. Here are more in-depth options, including vacation mode. This conserves energy through an increase in time between automatic defrosts. It's automatically activated if the fridge door hasn't been opened in a while. This feature is partly why this appliance conforms to Energy Star standards. The water and air filter icons are used to determine filter status. After 10 seconds of inactivity, the display returns to the sleep mode, which makes for an uncluttered display.

There are several alarms to alert you when the door is ajar, when the interior temperature rises too high, or when there is a power failure. There is also a Sabbath Mode that disables the lights, dispenser and control panel until that mode is deactivated.

The freezer drawer has three levels of baskets, so that frozen food stays organized and easy to find. This refrigerator is equipped with 'spill-safe' glass shelves that have been designed to catch and hold spills. The designer lighting is beautiful as well as functional and enhances the display of your food.

The MSRP is $3,499.00, which is more expensive than other bottom-freezer brands. You're paying for the designer look, the superior features and for an appliance that is exceptionally quiet.
