The Toshiba 55UX600U was successful in a variety of visual tests when it was tested out. However, it proved to be successful for more than just the visual and audio features that are on it. It is also one that proves to be great for Internet capabilities.

First there is the picture on the set. The 1080p picture on this fifty-five inch set featured a contrast ratio of three million to one. This is a very strong level that helped to create some very impressive images. The 120Hz playback feature also helped to make it easy for all of the things to work properly for less blurring and better quality images that were sharp.

The response time, meanwhile, was about 8ms in length. This is a little longer than some other sets but it is still a strong time.

The audio worked out very well too. The audio uses the Audyssey EQ feature that many other Toshiba sets work with. This works to equalize sounds automatically and to make it so the set can work with the best possible sounds. The ability to either mute or half mute sounds was convenient as well.

The Internet features truly blew away the competition. This set, like many others on the market, features a Wi-Fi connection. This means that the set can connect to online services without the use of wires. It is nothing new in the TV business but it is still a very convenient thing to check out.

However, the online content was incredibly superior over other sets. The 55UX600U features the Net TV system. This offers access to the VUDU library of movies. A subscription to this service can allow a person to get access to more than three thousand 1080p 5.1 surround sound movies.

There were many other online applications that could be used. The Flickr photo sharing service and the Pandora online radio service were great features to see. The Twitter and Facebook applications for online social networking were also convenient. News services from the New York Times were also available on the set with well updated information on the set.

A great feature of this set is that these online features could be used while watching television. This is a great feature in that it allows multitasking on the set.

The 55UX600U costs about $2400 on the market. This is less than what Samsung, Sony and LG have to offer in this size range.
