For people who suffer from allergies, especial dust mites, dander and pet hair, the Hoover Widepath Tempo Upright Vacuum Cleaner is a good choice. As you vacuum, it using an allergen filtration system, which pulls and traps 99.9% of dust mites, common grass pollens, ragweed, etc. and replaces it with clean air. The cleaner has excellent suctioning ability and works extremely well on carpeted floors. Because it's a widepath (fifteen inches in width) cleaner, vacuuming the room takes less time and it appears to be easier on the carpet. The vacuum has a powerful 12 amp motor.

It is relatively easy to unpack and assemble the vacuum cleaner. However, not all of the diagrams in the instructions were for this particular model. A little bit of guessing was involved.

This Hoover vacuum does have some drawbacks. It is louder than other vacuum cleaners. The hose and the cord are both short. You'll probably need to use an extension cord with it. I tried to use the hose to vacuum the stairs, but found the vacuum cleaner too bulky to maneuver up and down the stairs. The vacuum weighs 21 pounds. It is now kept upstairs and I purchased a different vacuum cleaner for downstairs.

The appearance of the vacuum cleaner is very sharp. The main colors are black and a cool blue. Tools, including a dusting brush, furniture nozzle, crevice tool and two extension wands, easily snap in and out. A bag change indicator lights up which is a nice feature. The vacuum has an easy-open bag door. I noticed that I tend to have to change bags more often with this Hoover compared to my old one.

Compared to similar vacuums, the Hoover is very reasonably priced. The workmanship is excellent. The vacuum comes with a one year warranty. For the price, it's a great vacuum cleaner. In fact, this Hoover is very comparable to some vacuums that cost around three or four hundred dollars! Yet, it can be purchased for less than $100.
