Frigidaire Gallery Microwave, Model No. GLMV168KS3

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

This Frigidaire Gallery Microwave is an under-counter model with built-in stove venting. It has numerous convenience features, including: "smart sensor" cooking, power-level adjustments, selection buttons by type of food, an automatic turntable, an adjustable shelf, a clock, a night-light setting and exterior light adjustments. The microwave is relatively quiet, but it provides an adjustable beeping sound to signal you when your food is ready, and it will continue to remind you periodically until you open the microwave door.
The features I enjoy the most are its automatic turntable and its re-heat function. With the latter, I am able to re-heat leftovers without overheating. The interior of the microwave is roomy, and when the adjustable shelf is removed, it will hold almost any item you would think to cook. The food selection buttons include: popcorn, beverage, veggie, ground meat, and baked potato. The beverage button is particularly convenient.
This model has many features that I've not even tried. It has the afore-mentioned adjustable beeper volume, a timer button, an adjustable exhaust level feature for the stove, a delay start button, several express cook buttons, a "remind" button, and a "Plus 30 seconds" button. For a more experienced cook, these features may all come in handy, but I normally microwave either at full power or on re-heat. It's nice to have a wide selection of features, however.
I have used this microwave several times a day for about 7 years, and it has held up without any problems at all so far, so I can vouch for its durability. The only reason I am giving it only a 4 rating is that it gets dirty easily and is not particularly easy to clean. Otherwise, I have no complaints about the Frigidaire Gallery microwave and would definitely purchae one again.

How do you adjust the beeper volume?
