When my old dryer died recently, I decided to buy a dryer that would really suit my needs. I have myself, my spouse, four dogs and tons of laundry every week. The GE DPVH880GJMV 27in Colossal Capacity Gas Dryer seemed to fit my needs very well. I figured that I wouldn't have to go to the laundry mat anymore when I needed to wash and dry large comforters, pillows, dog beds, etc... I was right! I already had a large capacity washing machine and now a dryer that matches. I am happy.

I am amazed with how much this dryer is able to dry in a quick amount of time. The dryer has a 7.5 cubic feet capacity and weighs approximately 143 pounds so it doesn't move around even with the biggest loads possible. The drum is stainless steel so it will not rust, chip, or peel over time. You will find that it does not snag clothing.
There are many dryer settings so you are able to choose the best setting for the clothes that will be dried. Or let the washer and dryer communicate electronically, to have the dryer settings automatically set for you to the best type of drying options for the type of clothing in the washer. It has a reverse tumble that reverses the tumble rotation for gentle, and fast drying times. This will save you many dollars in the long run - no more long drying times even when you put in huge loads or heavy loads to dry. There is also a built in drying rack and a hangar for the hard to dry items of clothing or bedding, and very delicate items of clothing and sundries.
I am very impressed with my new dryer. Although I have not had it and been using it for more than a few months, I have not had any issues with it. It dries well, thoroughly and within a decent amount of time. This is wonderful as my old dryer used to take almost an hour to dry a simple, light load during the last few months of its existence.

My opinion is that this GE Dryer is well worth the extra dollars spent on it. I hope it will last for many, many years as it is one of the best dryers I have owned so far.
