Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

I had heard an awful lot about the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, and being a little bit of a design junkie, I wanted to try them out myself. I absolutely loved the sleek, all black, highly stylized appearance that I saw in press images of the headphones, but being a huge fan of music, I obviously wanted a quality set of headphones that would deliver superior and high quality audio everytime.

The first thing that I noticed and loved about the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones was that it came with it's own carrying case, as well as a cord that could connect it to phones and to computers. The carrying case ended up being quite handy, since the surface of the headphones are very delicate and sensitive, and scratch or get marked up super easily. I didn't want to scratch my gorgeous new headphones, so keeping them immaculate is important to me, making the carrying case perfect.

The audio for the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones is pretty solid - it gives you a large, booming bass, and has superior audio quality, which is something that is also very important to me, obviously when spending $400 on a pair of headphones. I look for style and functionality in all of the tech products I buy, so I was pretty happy with these two aspects of the headphones.

The only issue I had with the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones was that you need to have batteries to use them. I found this really annoying, especially since these are supposed to be a high-tech product and virtually everything can be charged or is wireless these days. Who carries around batteries? However, it's worth it for me for these headphones. I love my Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones.
