Keurig B66 Single Serve Coffee Maker

Rating: 3 out of 5
  • Currently 3.0/5.0

Keurig leads the market of single serve coffee makers. If you are not familiar with this revolutionary coffee maker you are in for a treat with this machine. The Keurig B66 Single Serve Coffee Maker brews individual cups of fresh, steaming hot coffee in under a minute with the touch of a button. Brewing coffee (or tea) has never been easier.

What makes this machine so easy to use is the unique coffee pods. The Single serve coffee maker uses pre-made pods called K-Cups. The pods or K-Cups make a single cup of hot drink. They are air-tight and come in over 150 different varieties, including flavored coffees, teas and even hot chocolate. Many of the K-Cups are available in name brands. I have found them to be priced between fifty cents and a dollar for each K-Cup.

To brew a cup of coffee you just drop a pod into the machine and in under a minute you have a fresh brewed cup of steaming hot coffee. The Keurig B66 offers three cup sizes, the smaller the size, the stronger the coffee.

As with most coffee makers on the market today, this machine is programmable with a 24-hour digital clock. The LCD control center is backlit and lights up with a cool looking blue color.

The only problem I found with this otherwise great coffee maker, is the noise. The pump is very loud when it is filling your cup and again when it is filling the heating tub. The noise is loud enough to wake someone sleeping elsewhere in the house. Since most people use their coffee maker early in the morning, it is not a positive 'feature' to make this much noise. It is loud enough to force us to stop using this expensive machine.

Overall, if you can live with the noise the Keurig Coffee Maker emits while brewing a cup, it is a great choice. It does make a good hot cup of coffee in under a minute. -Reviewed by ConchRaider
