My KitchenAid KUDC031VWH built-in dishwasher works well most of the time although it has trouble cleaning some foods. I have been using this dishwasher for a couple of years and although it is not the worst dishwasher I have owned, it is also not the best. I find that it often has difficulty cleaning food that has dried on a dish, food such as egg or a sauce.
The product description states that there is no need to rinse the dishes before placing them in the dishwasher as it will grind up any food particles and wash them away, but I have found that it cleans best when the dishes have been rinsed. This is not a huge deal for me as my sink is located right beside the dishwasher. I also find that it leaves spots on the glasses no matter what type of dishwasher soap that I use. The dishwasher also needs to be cleaned with a cycle of vinegar and water, or bleach and water once in a while to keep the inside clean of scum and mold, and to keep it working at its best performance.
One thing I do like is the capacity that it can hole and the layout is okay.
It is priced within a range that is comparable to dishwashers of the same calibre; you should be able to find it new somewhere within $499.00 to $620.00 on average.
