Hoover SteamVac Duo Spot Cleaner F550

Rating: 2 out of 5
  • Currently 2.0/5.0

What's really fantastic about the Hoover SteamVac Duo Spot Cleaner F5505 is that you can use it for two things. You can clean one particularly troublesome spot, or an entire room. It also is very versatile, including a separate attachment for upholstery and furniture, spots or stairs that need cleaning. It also has a convenient tank that is very versatile as well, making it a great option if you have carpeted or wood stairs that frequently get messy. It also comes with a hose of 5 feet, making it easy to reach other places and go around an entire room.

The Hoover SteamVac Duo Spot Cleaner F5505 is a particularly bright shade of red, which is very chic and appeals to many people's design sensibilities. You can also adjust the handle to all kinds of heights, which is nice if you find that to often be an issue. It's also very compact, which is nice if you live in a small apartment or do not have a lot of storage space at your disposal.

The Hoover SteamVac Duo Spot Cleaner F5505 does however require some cleaning and care, as you need to clean it frequently and throughly for it work properly, and really helps it be more efficient and proficient at getting difficult and trouble areas. It also allows you to see when the dirty solution and water needs cleaning or emptying.

While the Hoover SteamVac Duo Spot Cleaner F5505 is great, the hose could be much longer, which makes it nearly impossible to clean a whole room without repositioning yourself and it could have more suction power, and is lacking compared to others. It does an okay job of cleaning, but leaves surfaces quite damp, making it kind of disappointing. You may be better off trying another model or brand.
