Review of Haier MWG10018TW 1.0 Cubic Foot Microwave Oven (price, online, purchasing)

This is one of the worst products I've ever bought. I ordered it online and when it was shipped to me I plugged it in to give it a try. It did not work. It didn't even turn on. I called the seller and ended up having to send it back (at my expense) to have it replaced with another one. At this point, I wasn't necessarily blaming the microwave - I assumed that something might have happened in transit.

However, when I received my replacement it also didn't work. Once again I called the seller and at that point asked for my money back. I believed that the seller must not be packaging or handling these products correctly but I did a little research and discovered that numerous people have had this same complaint on various internet forums.

I did end up getting a 3rd model from a different seller. I was actually just curious at that point to see if it would work. This time it did work - much to my surprise - but I found that the glass tray inside rubs up against the side of the oven. This may sound like a minor inconvenience, but there are two huge issues with it. First of all, it makes a lot of noise, which, with 2 small kids, is not OK. Second of all, the glass tray doesn't spin the way it should. That means I have to stand around and turn the food around regularly. Once again, with two small kids, it simply isn't possible to keep such an eye on my food.

The price for this isn't even that low. You would think that with the quality being so low, the price would reflect that. I will definitely not be purchasing products from Haier again.
