This product is decent for the money, but has many drawback.
One of the best things about this microwave is that it's extremely cheap. Another great option is that it is stainless steel looking. Though I hesitate to call it a "stainless steel appliance" because, really, there are only tiny strips of stainless steel glued onto the front. But, still, it looks good with the silver and the black, and matches the (real) major stainless steel appliances in my kitchen.
That sums of basically all the good points. Onto the bad. First of all, the microwave is very small and even smaller inside than it looks like it should be on the outside. Nothing bigger than a dinner plate will fit inside and still turn on the tray. Large bowls are completely out of the question. 700 watts is really a very small wattage, even for an appliance this size. It takes a long time to heat things to the proper temperature. And then, even when they are warm, things are heated extremely unevenly. The parts in the middle and the outside are sizzling while tepid in other spots.
There are also problems with the construction and quality of the physical unit. The wheeled track which rotates the inside tray is poorly constructed with cheap plastic. This tiny, thin wheels jiggle and jostle when touched and frequently slip from their moorings, causing the tray to stop rotating and the entire inside parts to come off kilter. Then the tray must be removed and the track reset.
Within four months of owning the microwave (with less-than-frequent use), the plastic comprising the digital control screen cracked and started to peel off. Now three of the most important buttons are unrecognizable. Along with the physical problems of the control panel, it is also difficult to correctly use. The number buttons are set to be "quick-start" options, like the number "1", when pressed, starts cooking for one minute. "2" sets it for two minutes, etc. However, there is no "30 Sec" option. And, in a completely unintuitive move, setting individual times beyond these preset options requires you to hit "Power" and then the numbers, and then "Start". Nothing as simple as quickly warming up macaroni and cheese should take a thorough perusal of the owner's manual.
