Garmin Nuvi GPS

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

When I found that I could get a Garmin Nuvi GPS for only $450, I jumped at the chance. It was small enough that I would always be able to take it with me no matter where I am going and it came with pre-programmed maps of popular destinations throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada and Puerto Rico, something that was helpful for someone that travels frequently.

My portable GPS came with all kinds of awesome features that I am unsure I would be able to live without. The one year parts and labor warranty was excellent as you never can tell how your bags are going to be treated when you fly. The twelve channels make it easy to find anything that you are looking for, as well as the blue tooth capability so everyone in the car doesn't have to listen to your turn by turn directions to you final destination. For those that are driving you to your destination, the text to speech feature will read you turn by turn directions and even provide you with alternative routes if there is a road closure or too much traffic. The battery life is nice and long and it comes with an AC adapter that you can plug into the cigarette lighter so that you never have to be without directions.

I rate this GPS a 5 as this has been the best portable GPS system that I have had in recent years. I have had cheaper GPS systems and they worked just as such. I find that the Garmin Nuvi GPS works even better than my On Star in my car at home. Because of it's portability and capability to program destinations before hand, I can program every place I am going before I leave so that I don't have to worry about it in route. It can hold up to 300 destinations at once.
