Weber Q200 LP Gas Grill with optional cart/stand

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

We chose this grill because we are usually only cooking for two, occasionally a couple more. It was small but still seemed to be very well built. We also bought the stand to mount it on and connected it to a 20 gal tank. We liked the fact that it could be used either on the stand with the larger tank or as a portable table top grill with a smaller tank.

The grill cover is made of heavy metal and grate is heavy cast iron. Very sturdy. It has a push-button start. The grill started with one push when we first got it but after a couple of summers of use, the grill doesn't always light with the first spark. Sometimes it takes several tries to get the grill to light.

The grill also has two plastic foldout extensions, one on each side for setting items on. These fold in underneath the lid to keep the grill compact when not in use and enable the entire grill to fit inside the fitted weather cover. The drip pan is disposable but doesn't need to be changed very often.

The grill came with a small instruction booklet that also includes some recipes. This was helpful for someone who hadn't used a gas grill before. It gave tips on what kind of heat setting to use for different grilling items and approximate cook times. The grill does not have a temperature gauge like I've seen on some of the other Weber models. That seems like it would be a nice feature to have but I'm not sure it would be worth paying extra for.

Overall we felt that the price was a little higher than some other brands but we felt we were getting a little sturdier product for the money and a trusted name brand as well.
