Lifetime 54" Acrylic In-ground Basketball Hoop System
Rating: 4 out of 5
Currently 4.0/5.0
Overall, the Lifetime 54" Acrylic In-ground Basketball Hoop System deserves an average rating. For four hundred dollars, it is a decent purchase. I like that it has a power lift height adjuster, a professional style wrap around the bracing, and is easily adjusted. The biggest problem with this item is that the screws the manufacturers sent did not properly fit with the hoops and adjusting it was very difficult. After a few days, the hoop began to wobble and new screws needed to be purchased. Installing the entire thing can get quite tricky and if you request Lifetime to come and install it for you they charge you for it because installation is not included in the price or in the warranty. The drawings in the instructions are more confusing than helpful and the instructions are tricky and unhelpful. Overall though, once the product was finally assembled and ready to be used, it is a lot of fun and a good deal for only four hundred dollars. It takes about four to five hours to install and requires two to three adults to work together. Overall though, the hoop is sturdy and up to ten feet tall. Adjusting the height is ridiculously easy; it can be done effortlessly with only one hand. Because it can be adjusted so easily, it is great for all ages; children can use it and adults can use it as well. In addition to being sturdy once completed properly, it looks great and that's important, especially if it is going to be put on your driveway. The acrylic backboard is really a great touch. Compared to other hoops, this one has a reasonable price and after dealing with the head ache of setting it up, it really is not a bad product. Lifetime is a company that can be trusted and I'm certain the product will last for years.
